Designed for progressive metal players, the black Pegasus Trembucker from Seymour Duncan is a humbucking pickup for use in the bridge position with a wide pole-piece spacing for symmetrical positioning under the strings of guitars with a tremolo or wide-spaced hardtail bridge (2" or wider from the center of the Low E to High E directly over the bridge pickup). The Pegusus offers a moderate output that works equally well for clean and distorted tones, and provides a superb blend of articulation and aggression. The pickup features an alnico 5 bar magnet and custom windings to deliver a warm, balanced, responsive, and lush tone. The sound is harmonically rich with a prominent midrange and focused low end. The high resonant peak creates a sparkly top end that blooms on chords in high-gain performances.
