The nickel covered SH-18N Whole Lotta Humbucker from Seymour Duncan is an early 70's PAF-style neck pickup designed to deliver a bold, punchy neck tone with plenty of low-end warmth. Before Seymour built his own business, he was working for Fender Soundhouse in London and befriended many of the "Yardbirds" guitarists and went on to rewind many of their pickups. The Whole Lotta Humbucker was one of these custom rewind recipes and thanks to Seymour's meticulous record keeping, the pickup lives on today. The SH-18N utilizes a rough cast alnico 5 magnet, plain enamel wire, and a unique winding pattern to deliver a larger-than-life sound that's warm and balanced. The vintage-hot pickup offers 8.20k DC resistance and also features a nickel silver bottom plate, a 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is wax potted for squeal-free operation. The Whole Lotta Humbucker is carefully hand-built in Santa Barbara, CA.
